西舞鶴



西舞鶴の漁村　（漁師町？）




京都から舞鶴へ行った。電車の窓から、すごく美しい山の景色を見られた。舞鶴はすごく綺麗で静かな町。舞鶴の景色は美しい。天気は完ぺきだった、だからたくさん写真を撮った。街にはほとんど人がいなかった。だから、非常に静かな雰囲気だった。

この階段の上に美しい景色を見られるだろう。

京都植物園

今日、京都植物園は久しぶりに行った。今、植物園はすごく綺麗。春の花が多い。最近、たくさん京都の庭に行った。例えば、平安神宮の庭、永観堂の庭。でも、京都植物園はイギリスっぽいと思う。ロンドンのRegents Parkみたい。僕の故郷、BirminghamのCannon Hill Parkみたい。だから、今朝は懐かしかった。

Kyoto's Geisha Districts





 
京都には色んな歴史的な歓楽街がある。祇園は京都の一番有名な花街。でも、先斗町の方が好き。散歩だけしても、雰囲気は分かる。道は割と狭くて長い。車がない。もし夕方に先斗町で散歩をしたら、たくさん綺麗で珍しい店 を見られる。もし運が良かったら、舞妓と芸妓が見られる。

Kyoto has a variety of historical entertainment districts. Gion is the most famous Hanamachi (Geiko and Maiko district, Kyoto words for Geisha and apprentice Geisha). But I prefer Pontocho, you just have to take a walk along Pontocho to feel the atmosphere. It is relatively narrow and long, and there are no cars. If you take a walk along Pontocho at night, you can see a lot of beautiful and unusual shops and restaurants. If you are lucky you might even see a Maiko or Geiko.

Green Tea

僕はイギリス人だけど、イギリスに住んでいた時紅茶はあまり飲まなかった。大抵、イギリス人は紅茶が好き、例えばお母さんは毎日たくさん紅茶を飲んでいた。時々お母さんのために紅茶を作っていた。でも、僕はその紅茶を飲まなかった。大抵、イギリス人は紅茶に牛乳を入れる。その味はあまり好きじゃない。日本に来た時お茶を始めて飲んだ。その時からお茶をよく飲んでいる。大抵、コンビニでお茶を一本買って飲む。いろんな種類が好き、例えばお茶、紅茶、鳥龍茶とか麦茶は美味しい。最近新しい種類を見つけた、祇園心茶、すごく美味しくて飲みやすい。日本のお茶文化が好き。

I am British, but when I lived in England, I did not drink a lot of tea.  Usually British people love tea, for example my Mother used to drink gallons of tea everyday. Sometimes I would make it for her, but I never drank that tea. Usually British people put milk in tea, but I don't like the taste. When I came to Japan, I drank green tea for the first time. From then I have been drinking a lot of green tea, I love the refreshing taste. Usually I buy bottles at convenience stores. Now I like a variety of different teas, for example: green tea, oolong cha, koucha and mugicha, they are all tasty in their own ways. Recently I have found a new kind of tea, Gion Kokorocha, it is really tasty and easy to drink. I really like Japan's tea culture.

Starbucks, a good place to learn English

私はいろんな場所で英語を教えている。Aセット英会話、EB英会話と心為塾で英語を教えている。その上個人レッスンを教えている。時々、スターバックスでその個人レッスンを教える。たくさん、英語教師は個人レッスンをスターバックスで教える。英語教師の中でスターバックスは人気がある。私はコーヒーはあまり好きじゃないけど、スターバックスの雰囲気が好きだ。いつも紅茶を飲んでいる。すごくイギリスっぽいね。時々、スターバックスの料理を食べる、美味しいし、健康的だと思う。スターバックスはアメリカの会社、でも私はアメリカに行ったことがない。今、イギリスにはスタバックスがあるけど、イギリスに住んでいた時、スターバックスがなかった。だから、私の場合、スターバックスは日本の会社っぽい。1999年京都でスタバックスに始めて行った。あの時から、毎週スタバックスに行っている。1999年京都で一つだけスターバックスがあったけど、今は多い。最近、私の一番好きなスターバックスは六角堂のスターバックス、窓から六角堂が見えるから。
I teach English at a variety of places. For example: A-Set Eikaiwa, EB Eikaiwa and Shii Juku. But I also teach private lessons. Sometimes I teach those private lessons at Starbucks. A lot of English teachers teach private lessons at Starbucks. Starbucks is very popular amongst English teachers. I don't really like coffee, but I like the atmosphere at Starbucks.  I always drink tea, very British. I sometimes eat Starbucks food, I think it is both tasty and healthy. Starbucks is an American company, but I have never been to America. Now in Britain there are Starbucks but there were no Starbucks there, when I lived there. So for me Starbucks seems like a Japanese company. I first went to Starbucks in Kyoto in 1999, at the time there was only one Starbucks in Kyoto, now there are many. Recently my favorite Starbucks is Rokakudou Starbucks, because from the window you can see the temple.

I Love Sushi

最近、友達と一緒にかごの屋に行った。　久しぶりに寿司を食べた。めっちゃめっちゃ美味しかった。かごの屋の料理は安くて美味しい。このセットは1200円だった。色な握り寿司を食べた。その上色な天ぷらも食べた。かごの屋のいくらは非常に美味しかった。大抵、カニをあまり食べない、でもかごの屋のカニは美味しかった。私は海老が大好き、このセットの中にうまい海老の寿司と天ぷらがあった。蓮根天ぷらもうまかった。かごの屋はいい店と思う。色な日本料理がある。例えば、しゃぶしゃぶ、すき焼きとか鍋がある。かごの屋は本当に日本っぽい、いい雰囲気がる。

Recently I went to Kagonoya with a friend. For the first time in a while, I ate sushi., it was really delicious. Kagonoya's food is cheap, but very good. This set meal only cost 1200 yen. I ate a variety of nigiri-zushi, and whats more a variety of tempura too. Kagonoya's salmon roe was unbelievably delicious. Usually I don't eat crab, but this crab was amazing. I love prawn; in this set meal I could eat both tasty prawn sushi and tempura. The lotus root tempura was also very tasty. I believe Kagonoya is a good restaurant, there is a large variety of Japanese food. For example: shabushabu, sukiyaki and nabe. Kagonoya is really Japanese with a good atmosphere.
